What is The Club of SLH?

The Club of Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ is a free to join customer programme offering instant benefits from your first stay as a member. For more details, please visit our Welcome to The Club page.

Joining

How can I join The Club?
Joining couldn't be easier! Simply fill out our Club member application form. Once you have successfully completed the form, you will automatically receive an email confirming your membership number and password.

What does it cost to join?
The Club of Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ is free to join and there are no subscription fees or on-going charges. Once you join you will receive instant benefits from your very first stay, the more you stay with us, the more benefits you will receive – from access to exclusive Club rates to free night rewards on us (subject to availability).

Do I have to give over my Credit Card information in order to join?
No. Bank details are not required in order to join the Club. The Club is free to join and therefore member’s bank information is not requested or held.

How does The Club work?
The Club of Small Luxury Hotels of the World has 3 tiers: Special, Loved and Honoured.

Special Members: When you sign up to The Club you are automatically enrolled as a Special member, and have immediate access to Special member benefits.

Loved Members: After making 1 qualified stay at an SLH property, a Special member will be upgraded to a Loved member. Loved members are entitled to all Special member benefits plus additional Loved member benefits. Loved membership lasts for a minimum of 12 months. Make 1 qualified stay at an SLH property during this period to retain your Loved status for a further 12 months. Make 5 stays at an SLH property during this period to be upgraded to Honoured membership.

Honoured Members: Honoured members are entitled to all Special and Loved member benefits, and receive even more Honoured member benefits.Honoured membership lasts for a minimum of 12 months. Make 5 further qualifying stays at an SLH property during this period to retain your Honoured status for a further 12 months.

Getting Started

What is my personal profile and why is it so important?
Club members can provide their stay preferences in their personal profile. For example, your profile will contain such details as whether you prefer feather pillows over foam or if you prefer red wine over a dry white. When you make your reservations through Small Luxury Hotels of the World™, your profile is shared with our member hotels, who do their utmost to fulfil your special requests. The more up-to-date your information, the better we can serve you.

How do I log in?
You can log in from any page on slh.com. Please enter your membership email address and password in the log-in fields; found in the top right of the header and click 'Go'.

How will I know which tier I am in?
Upon qualification for a change of tier, we will send you an email to inform you of your new tier status.
You can also check which tier you are in, and information about that tier, by logging in with your Club membership number and password and visiting your Club profile once logged-in.

How do I access exclusive Club rates?
Please log-in with your Club membership number and password. Then search for a hotel and click on the ‘Offers’ tab on the hotel page if this is present. If the hotel has an exclusive Club offer it will be listed on this page.

Making a Reservation

How do I make a Club reservation?
Club members can make a reservation by booking through one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ channels listed below. This will guarantee that your stay qualifies against your profile and that you receive your Club membership benefits. Please note that you must provide your membership number at the time of booking in order for your booking to qualify.

How will hotels identify me as a Club Member?
On making your booking through an SLH Channel, your hotel will receive a Club Member Arrivals Report, notifying the hotel of your Club status, special requirements & hotel preferences.

Is Club membership valid at all Small Luxury Hotel of the World properties?
Yes, all Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ properties offer Club benefits to members.

What benefits can I receive as a Club member?
Club member benefits are dependent on tier. For more information on this, please view our Welcome to The Club page.

Can I receive The Club benefits even though I did not book through Small Luxury Hotels of the World™?
No, as a Club member, you will only receive the Club benefits on bookings made through one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ booking channels.

If you book directly with the hotel or with a third party company (including online travel agents), you will not be entitled to receive Club benefits and stays you make will not count towards your tier.

Qualifying Stays

What is the definition of a qualifying stay?
A "qualifying stay" is defined in our Club Terms & Conditions as: "One stay at a participating SLH hotel, regardless of the total number of consecutive nights, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again, pursuant to a reservation made at a publically available rate or a Club Exclusive rate."

A “qualifying stay” requires that the member checks in at the hotel on the date of the reservation and stays in the room for a minimum of one night. The qualifying stay date will be determined by the check-out date.

How do I ensure my reservation qualifies against my Club profile?
In order for stays to automatically qualify against your profile, they must have been made in the last 12 months either on slh.com, via an SLH call centre or with your travel agent and your Club membership number must have been added to the reservation at time of booking.

External online reservation engines do not apply, as they use a completely separate system so we would have no knowledge of your booking. Likewise, if you book directly with the hotel, we have no access to this information and your booking will not qualify.

If I make a reservation directly with the hotel, is it eligible to qualify against my Club profile?
Unfortunately, reservations made directly with an SLH hotel will not qualify against your profile. In order for stays to automatically qualify against your profile, they must have been made in the last 12 months either on slh.com, via an SLH call centre or with your travel agent and your Club membership number must have been added to the reservation at time of booking.

How do I redeem the complimentary night voucher that I earned as an ‘Honoured’ member?
To make a reservation using your voucher, please email vouchers@slh.com with your specific request. Please include details of your preferred hotel, the date that you would like to stay and the number of guests (one or two). Please also state your voucher code clearly in the email. All requests must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your intended stay.

Complimentary nights are valid for 12 months from the date they are awarded and are subject to availability. Specific conditions apply, as outlined in our Club terms and conditions. Please read these carefully before submitting your request. We aim to respond to your email within 5 working days of receipt.

End of Membership Year

What happens when my membership year ends?

Special Members
There is no membership year for Special members. Once you have joined The Club as a Special member you will stay in this tier until you make your first stay as a member. Once you have completed this stay, you will be upgraded to Loved member status.

Loved Members
If you have completed between 1 and 4 qualifying stays during your Loved membership year, you will retain Loved member status for a further 12 months.

If, at the end of your Loved membership year, you have failed to complete at least 1 qualifying stay, you will be downgraded to Special membership until you complete another qualifying stay. We will inform you via email within 72 hours of your membership year end date.

If, during your Loved membership year, you complete 5 qualifying stays, you will be upgraded to Honoured membership within 72 hours after your return from your fifth qualifying stay. On this date, your membership year will be reset and you will enjoy Honoured membership for a further 12 months.

Honoured Members
Make 5 qualifying stays during the first year of your Honoured membership in order to retain honoured status for a further 12 months.

If you do not complete 5 qualifying stays within the year, you will return to Loved member status.

If you have not made a single booking during your Honoured membership year, you will be downgraded to Loved member status

General Information

I have misplaced/forgotten my password. What should I do next?
Club members can easily change their password. However, if a Club member has misplaced/forgotten their password, members must provide Name, Membership Number & Username Email address to club@slh.com. (Please note that a change of password will take 24 hours to update.)

I have misplaced/forgotten my Membership Number. What should I do next?
If a Club member has misplaced/forgotten their membership number, they are advised to Log into the Club where Membership Number is displayed on their Club page along with membership tier & benefits.

I need to change my Profile details (Address, Phone Number etc). Can I do this online?
Yes. Club members can update basic profile details by visiting their Club profile.

What happens if I need to change Email address?
In order to change an email address, we ask our Club members to contact us in writing. Members must provide Name, Membership Number, Original and New address to club@slh.com. Please note that a change in email address will also update the members Login Username.

What is the best way to contact the Club?
The Club Executive may be contacted by telephone or via email at club@slh.com.

Club Member Queries

I’m not sure I’m on the right tier. What should I do?
Tier adjustments can take up to 72 hours after a qualifying stay. If a tier adjustment does not happen after this time, please contact The Club Executive via email at club@slh.com. Please state your Club membership number and your query.

I’m not sure all my stays are showing in my Stay History. What should I do?
Please note that only completed stays show in your Stay History, and will take 72 hours to appear after your check-out date. If a completed stay does not appear in your Stay History after this time, please contact The Club Executive via email at club@slh.com. Please state your Club membership number and details of the missing stay.
