Wedmore Place is an enchanting and elegant European Country Hotel, in the middle of a 300-acre farm and located just five kilometres from Colonial Williamsburg. Whether business or pleasure, the hotel offers a highly luxurious and relaxing destination.

The decor of each room is inspired by the culture and traditions of 28 different European provinces. Each is furnished and decorated in the style of the region after which they are named; many have wood burning fireplaces. In the hotel’s delightful cobblestone courtyard you’ll find an impressive stone fountain imported from Provence.

Exquisite dining is available in the Gabriel Archer Tavern, where traditional cuisine is served daily. Overlooking the vineyards of the winery, the restaurant offers a most romantic and relaxed setting. Guests at the hotel can also make use of the excellent spa and fitness room, while no stay is complete without a trip to the hotel’s wine cellar. .

We chose Wedmore Place in Williamsburg because we didn't want a "Holiday Inn" experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms luxurious, and the adjacent winery delightful. The fireplace gave it that old world feel, and the decor was elegant.
