Beautiful White Sandy Beach. Photos do not do this beach any justice at all! The sand is as white as white can be and feels like talcum powder. At the front of the resort you have your own private beach where nobody else is allowed in unless you are a guest of Discovery Shores. They have people on duty if people try to come in. The sand is also so beautiful once you enter the water, no rocks, no pebbles, pure sand, and lots of it!

Watching all the action along the beach is really fascinating. As you are sitting in your private area on the beautiful white sand, you can watch all the people go by selling their wares and if you are interested in buying, you can ask the duty manager to invite them in to your area. They sell pearls, hats, sunglasses, etc. and we were told all were authentic items and at a reasonable cost, so you could go shopping sitting on a comfortable lounge chair in luxury.

Service and Attention to Detail. All the staff, no matter what position they hold, are always smiling and asking if they can help in any way, just to make your holiday relaxing. Guest services went out of their way for us to help us change a few of our travel plans and we just told them what we wanted to do and then the next morning they gave us some options and costing. As soon as you sit or stop anywhere, there is somebody to help you guide you to where you want to go, or offer to get a cold drink for you, or direct you to one of the many bars at the resort for an evening drink. They were everywhere, even to the point of sitting on the beach in a beautiful chaise lounge, they bring you water, magazines, cool drink and even clean your glasses for you. They also make your chair as comfortable as possible by making a day bed up for you and you are surrounded by lots of fluffy towels. When the sun moves, they move your umbrella accordingly.

On arrival at the resort, you are whisked away to your room with the least amount of fuss.
When you arrive at your door, there is a welcoming party, a lady with a bunch of flowers and then another two ladies waiting for you to sit in the comfy lounge so that they could soak your weary feet from your travels. Talk about being pampered! Also on the coffee table are an arrangement of cakes, pastries, biscuits and sweets. They give you a bottle of water to drink whilst you are having your feet massaged. This is the life!
We then are shown around our room, which was very modern and very luxuriously appointed. Downstairs there was a huge living area, with en-suite bathroom with so many amenities that they would have lasted 2 weeks without having to ask for more. The towels were really thick and fluffy as well as the robes. The open plan stairs leading upstairs made the area feel so spacious and when you get upstairs there is more luxury – the beds were so comfortable, the furniture so modern, then off through the sliding door leads you to your own spa pool on the rooftop. What luxury!
They then left us in peace to take all of this in, so we settled into our room and changed into our swimwear and went down to the beach for a swim. On arrival at the beach the staff met us and took us to the best available chaise lounges and made up the day bed by placing towels on the base, then a couple of spares for when you come out of the water and then a couple that are made into a pillow. The staff were very thoughtful and gave us bottled water, a cool towel and even adjusted the umbrella as the sun moved. They even cleaned our reading and sunglasses whilst we read the magazines that were on offer. The sand was as white as white can be on the beach and in the water. The water was very clean and crystal clear with a beautiful temperature. You could even try your hand or watch others create sculptures in the sand, when we were there they were sculpting a new launch of exercise shoes.
Evening time came and what a sight! All the palm trees were alight with different colours, the mood changed and the bands and music started and there were beach parties and bbq’s everywhere. Dinner was so beautiful under the palm trees and the ambience of the music on the beach was overwhelming. There was plenty of local and international dishes available on the menu, so there was something to suit everybody’s palette.
A resort well worth visiting, especially if you want to party at night! You can join in or you can do your own thing – no pressure from anybody.
