WHEN TO GO
South Africa’s seasons are opposite to those of the northern hemisphere. Festival fans will be in for a treat in high summer. If you’re looking for outdoor activities and wildlife watching, winter and autumn are cooler. And the Northern Cape is breathtakingly beautiful in spring, when expanses of wild flowers bloom. Whenever you visit, just don’t forget your camera.
You won’t just find panoramic views up Table Mountain. Keep an eye out for eagles, rock kestrels and the resident rock hyrax.
