Things to do
NATURE
At the foothills of the mountains, La Reserva is one of the island’s gems. Follow woodland walks and hike nature trails. Cool off in natural pools and picnic beside waterfalls. Encounter birds of prey, then fly through the trees yourself on a zip wire. But be sure to make time for Mount Galatzó, too. Hike past juniper and oak trees to the summit and you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views.
GOLF
Puigpunyent’s lush landscapes make it gorgeous golf country. Tee off in nearby Son Vida where some sporting legends have made their mark. Or book a session at Santa Ponsa to play amongst olive and almond trees.
HISTORY
Puigpunyent may be the quiet cousin of nearby Palma, but the landscape is peppered with fascinating historical sites that hint at a vibrant past. Go in search of Mallorcan talayots – Bronze Age megaliths that mark ancient villages, like Son Puig. Here you can wander around the old stones surrounded by citrus trees, and picture prehistoric island life.
