In the early-19^th century, this stately red brick building in central London started life as St. Olave’s Grammar School. Today, school lessons have been swapped for city breaks, following a careful transformation into a boutique hotel. From the moment you walk through the door you feel looked after. Check in was a smooth process and we were whisked up to our room efficiently. I was celebrating my birthday, that the bought a small treat for us and it really made me smile. The staff always had a smile on their face. Like a Luxury Country Hotel In London

We had a most wonderful stay - they room was lovely and the bathroom very nice The staff were always on hand to help but especially Tony the Head Concierge who was simply amazing We were even escorted by one of the concierges to a nearby restaurant - door to door in bad weather! At The LaLiT London, the cavernous assembly hall has been transformed into Baluchi at The Great Hall, serving a contemporary take on traditional regional Indian cuisine. At one end, the Naanery prepares freshly baked breads in the tandoor oven. While among the peacock blue heights of The Gallery, the table is set for afternoon tea. After dark, an energetic buzz draws you to the Teacher’s Room for a cocktail. Or there’s the plush armchairs, baroque features and fine cognacs to discover in the Headmaster’s Room.
