The Laslett - Luxury Hotel in London

Inspired by Notting Hill culture and infused with British style, The Laslett is more home than hotel

Elegant and eclectic, The Laslett takes inspiration from Notting Hill’s cultural heritage and creative character. The ground floor space, occupying two of the Victorian buildings, is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby. Here you’ll find an exclusive ‘British Library’, original artworks and 'shop' showcasing collaborations with designers and artists. The Henderson Bar and Coffee Shop – named after Russell ‘Russ’ Henderson, one of the founders of Notting Hill Carnival – serves up everything from breakfast, to light lunches and dinner. In the evening, it becomes the go-to place for late-night cocktails.

Upstairs, the 51 bedrooms reflect this luxury hotel’s home-from-home vibe. Created to feel like a stylish friend’s pad, there are cleverly compact ‘spare rooms’ and spacious ‘master bedroom’ suites. In each you’ll find British artworks and locally-sourced vintage knick-knacks, alongside designer furnishings by Pinch and Race. There are thoughtful touches dotted throughout, too – from Penguin Classics books to Ren products in the bathrooms.

When it’s time to explore, The Laslett is perfectly placed near London’s cultural hotspots. The charms of Portobello Road, with its market stalls and antiques, are just a short walk from the hotel. Alternatively, browse the designer boutiques of nearby Kensington, or escape the bustle in the scenic surrounds of Kensington Palace and Gardens. If the British rain sets in, spirits won’t be dampened. Take in some art at the Serpentine Galleries or a film at the enchanting Electric Cinema.
