Things to do
With 700km of coastline and more than 60 beaches, Evia is a haven for the beach connoisseur. There are also numerous private coves that are ideal for sunbathing and swimming. For spectacular sunsets, visit the Evoikos Golfs of the west coast.
The history of Evia is long and complex, but you don’t need to be an expert to appreciate the fascinating evidence that stretches back to Neolithic times. Rich soil, and precious natural resources such as marble, copper and iron made the island wealthy and two of the largest cities of ancient Greece were here: Halkida and Eretria.
Evia is an unspoilt island, but it is also well served by a variety of excellent shops for gifts and quality local produce. From your luxury retreat you will be able to explore friendly, family run shops in most towns and villages and enjoy genuine personal service.
