Hospes Infante Sagres Porto

A legendary grand hotel a short stroll from Torre dos Clérigos

Whether you’re planning a thriller or a romance, Hospes Infante Sagres Porto provides a luxury setting for your holiday story. Built in the 1950s yet resembling a 19th century manor house, this boutique hotel mixes classic and contemporary details to play tricks with time.

From the wrought iron staircase set against stained-glass windows to striking modern furnishings and artworks, it’s a feast for the senses. Downstairs, the public rooms celebrate turn-of-the-century opulence, with crystal chandeliers, wood panelling and antique chairs. While the bedrooms offer a more pared-back take on luxury. Think white bedspreads and features that draw on Porto’s Moorish history in the guest rooms, and a four-poster plus heritage patterns in the exclusive suite.

After breakfast in the grand dining room, step outside to see more of Porto. Stroll along Avenida dos Aliados, taking in lavish Neoclassical buildings and statues. Or reach back to the city’s origins in the Ribeira district – pausing to take in the views from the hilltop cathedral. After a day of discovering Porto, head back to the hotel for a nightcap.

Enjoy your stay!

Great base to explore Porto

The Hotei is in a great location to explore the wonderful city of Porto. There is a metro close by, a railway station reasonably close and taxis pick up at front door. Many sites are within easy walking distance. Rooms are well appointed. Pleasant public areas. Staff attentive and courteous in all Read more[SPLIT]Read lesssettings.

Do yourself a favor.

The overwhelmingly beautiful lobby greeted out every coming and going. Our street-view room was completely quiet even in a noisey street. The staff was always cheerful and helpful. Our room was delightful.

Good efficient staff, good location, clean rooms & bathrooms

The hotel is well located, large well decorated lobby, rooms were OK in size but very nice and our bathroom were large, the A/c let us down on the first night, a bit warm, but OK

Classical luxury hotel in the heart of Porto

Beautiful hotel and central location. Doormen are really helpful and everybody is very friendly / hardworking. The hotel was fully booked when we visited and the staff appeared somewhat streched, but the stay was still a wonderful experience.

Great stay in Porto

We enjoyed having a hotel close to everything but just away enough from the tourist attractions by the river. In my opinion it's the perfect location. I am a picky traveler and room was impeccable and the front desk staff was so nice, helpful and accommodating.

A great city hotel

Well located, elegant, comfortable, this hotel has a very efficient and friendly staff particularly at the Front Desk and Bell Stand. A great welcome, knowledgeable advice during our stay and personalized service made our return visit very pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast in the spacious and stylish Read more[SPLIT]Read lessroom. Missed the pool because of the rainy weather but enjoyed lunch in a great restaurant recommended by Mr. Duarte Pinho. Porto is a city full of charm and authenticity and we look forward to our next stay at this hotel, which we can highly recommend. Ask for a room overlooking the inner courtyard for a totally quiet room experience.

A very comfortable hotel in a great location

In a very good central location, this property has been tastefully renovated, keeping the beautiful lobby area and adding a sundeck with a small pool. Great service at Read more[SPLIT]Read lessReception and Bell Stand. They really go to the ultimate detail when asked to research places corresponding to your interest in Porto. Excellent hotel in the heart of the city

Very charming hotel with unique character. Old style elevator with crocodile leather seats is the star of the property. Nice port wine as welcome drink was a nice touch.

Luxury in the heart of Porto

The staff make this hotel extra special. Very professional but also incredibly friendly and natural. Nothing is too much trouble. And the mini Pastel de Nata at breakfast must be some of the best in Portugal.

Great hotel in a great location

Enjoyed the central location, the pleasant facilities, and the helpful staff. Stay was very comfortable and service was seamless. Only minor suggestion is that room decor could be punched up a bit - it's blandly luxurious now.
