WHEN TO GO
Singapore is more or less on the equator, and its temperature stays consistently high all year round. It can be humid too, with sudden storms bringing relief. The wettest time of year to come is November to January. The city state is home to a number of faiths, so there are public holidays throughout the year. But one celebration well worth seeing is Chinese New Year in February.
If you’re hoping to tuck into chilli crab, one of Singapore’s signature dishes, don’t wear smart clothes. It can get very messy!
