Introducing Eze

Nestled between Nice and Monaco, Eze is a hilltop village with stunning views across the French Riviera. Escape here for a touch of romance – Eze is a favourite with honeymooners after all. Or wander the quaint streets, seemingly carved into the rocks, and see why the locals refer to it as a museum rather than a village. It’s a living remnant of medieval times.

Things to do

HISTORY
The whole village of Eze is a beautiful and captivating piece of history in its own right. Stroll the narrow streets and you’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time to the medieval era. And be charmed by the views in every direction.

NATURE
Just a short distance from your luxury hotel are the Botanical Gardens at Eze, home to a bewildering number of cacti and succulent plants. But no matter how fascinating or unusual the flora, your eyes are certain to be drawn to the view, too.

LANDMARKS
Perched on the rocks over 400 metres above sea level, the height of Eze means it’s visible across the region. The church Notre Dame de l’Assomption is particularly noticeable, with light yellow walls. Look out for an Egyptian cross within the church that harks back to the original settlers here, the Phoenicians.

Top Tip from SLH

Don’t confuse Eze with Eze-sur-Mer, a nearby seaside town. For unparalleled views of the Riviera, Eze is the place to come.
