Dance to the Pizzica beat

As the stars come out, Canne Bianche invites guests to kick off their sandals and join a traditional Pizzica. In the past, musicians wandered the tobacco fields during harvest time, ready to play for anyone who was bitten by a Tarantula spider and then needed to frantically dance away the poison. Nowadays, the legend is retold by female singers and a band performing the Tarantella – dancers waving their flamenco style dresses to the clatter of tambourines.

Canne Bianche’s chefs regularly hold masterclasses in Apulian cuisine – a traditional style of cooking from the Apulia region that allows the quality and flavour of locally grown, seasonal ingredients to shine through. Learn how to create classic Puglian street food such as the Apulian bombette – flavoursome ‘little bombs’ of pork fillet and melted caciocavallo cheese wrapped in crispy pancetta. Or try your hand at focaccia – crisp and golden, studded with ripe tomatoes.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great location by the sea, just 25 minutes from Brindisi airport, a good location to explore this part of Puglia with all the typical and historic places. Very green, you get a lot of space to roam around, to select a lounger, to sit at a table and to enjoy the views. There is a large pool (not heated but thanks to the sunshine with a very nice temperature at the beginning of June.
