Flemings Mayfair - LUXURY HOTEL IN MAYFAIR, LONDON
A chic townhouse hotel in fashionable Mayfair
Blending English charm with cosmopolitan style, Flemings Mayfair is a luxury hotel in one of London’s most exclusive addresses. Originally a terrace of elegant Georgian townhouses, it has been lovingly refurbished with sumptuous interiors. Today, it’s a boutique retreat with a home-from-home feel.
The rooms, suites and apartments at Flemings Mayfair continue the classic yet contemporary theme, with nods to 1930s glamour. Soothing shades of bronze and soft grey contrast with vibrant fabrics in teal and indigo – and vintage-style patterned and textured wallpapers. Wool carpets, silk curtains and bespoke silver and lacquer furnishings add to the sumptuous look. While airy bathrooms, complete with luxury products, are made for relaxing after a day in the city.
At Flemings Mayfair you’re perfectly placed to explore London’s cultural highlights. Begin with breakfast at Tiffany’s, then browse the designer boutiques of Bond Street. Or have the hotel assemble a signature picnic hamper and head to Green Park – stopping to admire Buckingham Palace, just a few minutes away. Finish your evening with dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Ormer Mayfair, and experience seasonal and foraged fine dining by Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin. For an unforgettable evening, speak to the Concierge team who can arrange everything from theatre tickets to rides on the London Eye.

Disappointing stay. We found breakfast poor including service. Not friendly service and limited breakfast range. Everything not on the continental buffet cost a lot to order. Lift very slow and mostly occupied by staff!! Rooms ok but sound from underground even if you stay higher up in the building.
Top tip for other guests:
Do not pay for breakfast. Go somewhere else. Avoid lower floors due to sound from tube.

Professional and polished
By Catherine
March 2019
My Trip Type: Individual
Flemings Mayfair is my go-to London hotel. The quality of accommodation is excellent providing you select a Deluxe room or better (avoid Classic Doubles or Tiny Singles). I love that single rooms at lower rates are available for solo travelers. The location is unbeatable and the rates are very good for the area. Although I do see some older children on occasion, the layout, facilities and decor say this is a hotel for adults. It is mordern and polished in feel so do not stay here if you want quaint English charm. The staff are well-trained and make a point of learning names and recognizing guests on sight, providing a sense of both welcome and security.
Top tip for other guests:
Do not expect room upgrades or 3pm late check-out, even though listed as SLH Invited benefits. This is a very busy hotel and those "subject to availability" benefits do not ever seem to be available.

I use this hotel for work as well as with the family and I always enjoy the stay. Friendly staff with a great setting and location make it a superb place to stay. I will soon be back to stay when I work nearby and we have planned stays with the family in summer and at Christmas for some shows and shopping. All the rooms are lovely and can cater for all needs.

Underground noise and vibration in a junior suite
By Luis
December 2018
My Trip Type: Couple
The hotel is very well located, but there is an underground station close to the hotel. Every five minutes you have to bear the noise and vibration of the undergound in the room (junior suite). It's very difficult to enjoy the room. I honestly can not recommend the hotel.
Top tip for other guests:
I find it hard to accept that underground noise and vibrations have to be tolerated in an SLH.

We had another night at the wonderful Flemmings. It was absolutely perfect from checking in, to departure. Everyone one was so helpful and was very concerned at my husbands health (he'd had an accident that morning). Our bags were carried, taxis got for us, smiling breakfast waiting staff. We loved the late breakfast & check out on the Sunday too. Highly recommend Flemmings! It's now our first choice when we stay in London

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flemings. The room, recently refurbished, was satisfactory although we thought that we might have got an upgrade. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. However the bar downstairs was a disappointment and appears to have gone downhill since our earlier visit this year. The Drawing Room is a nice addition to the hotel's facilities.

Perfect location, sleepless mornings!
By Amna from Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Stay date: September 2015
My Trip Type: Friends
What I loved most about the hotel is its location. The service was overall very good and the room although small was beautifully decorated (some outdated furniture but that's ok). My only complaint which really affected my stay was that the walls are paper thin to the point I felt like I'm sleeping in the hallway not in a separate bedroom. My room was located right next to the staff door and every time someone walked through the door I can hear their steps on the extremely loud and squeaky floors. It's a shame to have experienced such inconvenience in a hotel that I would have loved to come back and stay in, especially the fact that it's quite expensive. Luckily the hotel is currently being refurbished and I hope the rooms are soundproof and the floors less squeaky.

Great London Hotel

I came across Flemings due to a room offer and was not disappointed. The Hotel location is great and walking distance from Oxford Street and the Parks. The room was really well appointed and the staff very friendly. I thought the bar was a fun place for a post dinner drink. All in all I would happily stay again. If I was to be picky and make a recommendation on what they could improve it would be the breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Flemings Mayfair. Service was consistently friendly and fast from check-in to check-out. The breakfast staff was attentive and polite with good food . We had one issue with our room and that was handled immediately. Although the room was a bit small we were able to change rooms for a better configuration which really helped to improve our experience there. The location is fabulous. All said, I would definately go back; a VERY GOOD hotel for the price.

Stay date: March 2015
My Trip Type: Business
This hotel always provideds a very high standard of service. Although being in Central London the rooms are compact, they are comfortable and well appointed. The staff are always lovely, and there is nothing they won't do to assist you. The food is excellent, and the bar is 'funky'. The hotel is well located for many attractions. However, as of now (March 2015) there is a large construction project going on behind the hotel - this can lead to a greater than normal level of early morning noise
Top tip for other guests:
For 2015, request a room at the front of the hotel to avoid the noise of the building site

Comfortable hotel in a good location
By Andrew from Wallingford, United Kingdom
Stay date: November 2014
My Trip Type: Business
I've stayed twice here on business; staff are polite and helpful and the hotel is very quiet and comfortable; and in a good location for central London. Food is excellent; but the restaurant can get busy in the evenings so you should book a table if you want to eat there. This is an old London townhouse building, so lots of little corridors and stairs to get around and the rooms are generally fairly small, but it has been very well modernised. I will likely stay here again.

Great Location
By Sarah from Hilton, United Kingdom
Stay date: November 2014

Myself and two girlfriends chose The Flemings for its location so we could have a weekend of shopping, cocktails & nights out without the hassle of London transport. It is in a great location. The staff were friendly & professional and our recently refurbished room was up to standard. The only disappointment was the cleanliness of the tiles round the shower. This could be easily fixed. Would recommend it and would stay again.

Very Central
By Laili from Trawden, United Kingdom
Stay date: October 2014
My Trip Type: Family
The Flemings couldn't be in a more ideal spot for visiting London. It is only a short walk from the tube and a 10 minute walk to Oxford Circus. The staff are friendly and attentive. I have to mention however, the stay wasn't quite perfect as directly behind the hotel there is a huge large scale building site, involving multiple diggers and cranes. I have no idea how long this will go on for, but future guests should be warned. Although buidling work didn't begin until 8:30am, you could clearly hear workmen arrive at 6:30am, we were on the top floor and still we could hear the work. We were eventually moved.

Quintessential helpfulness
By Gianmarco from Cagliari, Italy
Stay date: July 2014
My Trip Type: Couple
We arrived at the hotel, in the late morning, as we mailed at the hotel the day before. The room, at the first floor and on the frontside, was ready, but a bit tiny and too noisy. So I called the reception asking for an upgrade. They kindly accomodate us in a larger room,, at the third floor, with the windows facing the courtyeard, pleasant and really quiet. The bedroom was super king size and incredibly confortable. Position is really perfect. The staff was really healpful during all our stay, filling all our request, ex. booking for us restaurants and managing our transfert for the airport with no late, in spite of Tour de France arrival. Breakfast service was extremely prompt and quick; every day my eggs and bacon was exactly as I asked for. Only one suggestion: having breackfast at the lamplight instead of daylight isn't equally likeable. So why don't move the breakfast room at the ground floor?

First Time to this hotel
By Sadashi from Tokyo, Japan
Stay date: June 2014
My Trip Type: Single
Friendly welcomed. No complaint. Told that "upgraded" to a better room, though it was ground floor behind reception hall. Some kind of repair work was going on in the corridor or the room next and the noise was a bit annoying. Though room was clean, functional, and quite despite the fact that the window is facing the street. I booked the least expensive room with pre-paid. Ordered breakfast room service. Quality of food was excellent. Again, friendly check out process. Asked my luggage stored for a few hours. Door man was kind and friendly to catch me a cab to Paddington station upon departure. No particular complaint....Good stay. I may return again.

Great location
By Michael from Muri b. Bern, Switzerland
Stay date: May 2014

First of all the hotel is great located and the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and my only concern is the rooms. Not the room it self. Yes it is not the biggest room, but other than that it was a nice hotel room, but the walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbors loud and clear through out my whole stay and I even experienced to get a call about complaint for noise in my room and all I did was talk normally in my room. Even though it was late there was no tv or any music on.

Great location in central London. We usually stay at a hotel in Bayswater but this location is so much better. Close to Green Park, Hyde Park, Picadilly and a short walk up to Oxford Street. Our room was small but clean and really cosy. The housekeeping was excellent and the staff was really friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was a bit pricey but there is a lot of other options in the area. I will recommend all of my friends to stay at this hotel.

Favorite Boutique Hotel in London!
By Virginia from Munich, Germany

Our stay at Flemings was fantastic from the moment we arrived untl the day we left. Flemings is all about making a guest feel important; from our personal welcome by Branca, the Guest Services Manager, to the note in the room, cookies delivered on our last evening, a hot pot of coffee delieverd within 10 minutes of request to ensuring our on time arrival at Heathrow for our depature, we oculd not have asked for more. The staff at Flemings are friendly, knowledgable and most helpful. Every person we encountered from the front desk, concierge & restaurant were top notch. The staff is accomodating, eager to please and very attentive. The room was great! Both the room and bath were a good size for a London hotel and the appointments were lovely. The location is superb; easily reachable, great neighborhood, quiet street. I simply cannot say enough good things about our stay. Flemings if my London boutique hotel first choice from now going forward. Thanks so eacöh of you who made our stay most memorable - see you again soon!

Less than Expected -- Disappointing
By Jayne from Gleneden Beach, USA
Stay date: December 2013
My Trip Type: Single
What makes Flemings acceptable is the friendliness of the staff and their eagerness to please. However, the hotel was disappointing for an SLH property. My room was dinky, with no space to exercise and barely enough room for my luggage. The bed was pushed against one wall; both sides lacked a night table. Clearly because I was traveling alone, the hotel shoved me into the smallest room, which is far from nice, especially on a multiple night stay. While the hotel had been modernized on the surface, it seemed a bit shabby underneath that dressingup. The breakfasts had plentiful food, but it was not of the best quality. The same could be said of lunches and room service. The hotel, which was busy, only had one elevator, so wait times were frequent. All in all, I would not stay here again and am very disappointed in this SLH property.
Top tip for other guests:
Get room dimensions before booking
Hotelier reply:
Dear Jayne, I am sorry to read that we have not met your expectations on this occasion and that you left disappointed. I would like to reassure you that you were not allocated a smaller room because you were travelling on your own. The room you reserved was a single room which is well appointed for a sole traveller. On this occasion we were unable to upgrade you as the hotel was extremely busy in December 2013. The particular room you stayed in is one of our newly remodelled rooms, decorated with the purpose of creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am sorry this did not meet your expectations. Should you ever wish to return to London, I would be delighted if you would return to Flemings to restore your faith in our service levels. Please contact me personally when you have made your next reservation so that I can ensure that your next stay is as you and I would both wish. With Kind regards, Oliver J. Q. Brown General Manager

A Perfect Choice
By Janice from Toronot, Canada
Stay date: November 2013
My Trip Type: Family
My adult daughter and I spent 5 days at the Flemings Mayfair for our first visit to London. It was perfect in so many ways - we love small boutique hotels which this was in every way. The staff was very warm, friendly, and very helpful. Coming from North America I arrived hours before my room was ready so I was given a lovely guestroom for a rest before check in time. Our package did not include breakfast which we discovered to be quite pricey so we chose to eat at a local coffee shop. The location was ideal right by the Green Park tube and there were so many places to grab a quick bite (check out Shepherd's Market for some great restaurants). The rooms were very clean and the bed was great. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent hotel and would certainly plan to return.

We have stayed at the Fleming Hotel twice. The first time was lovely--so much so that on this visit we were really looking forward to our stay there. It surpassed expectations. This time we were less prepared with dinner reservations--the concierge and staff were helpful and considerate. And after a lot of travel on the continent where sometimes finding a hotel was like guesswork it was amazing to know we would be returning to a warm, comfortable hotel--with fabulous beds.

We enjoyed our stay at Flemings. I really appreciated the good gesture in providing me with a temporary room on my very early check-in. Upgrade accorded to us during our second part of our stay is greatly appreciatwd - a nice apartment. Having lived in London before, I find around Park Lane, Mayfair, Green Park are the most convinient place for the temporary stay or leisure traveller. Flemings Mayfari is in the heart of Mayfair so convinient to Green Park tube station, so nice to chill out in Green Park in the summer. But the room is very tiny. I guess this is a negative side for Mayfair as such an expensive location. We had a bad experience for the bathroom. On the first night, my husband used the shower and the water didn't go. I had to wait until following morning to have a shower as the water didn't go. I mentioned it to the reception and by the night the issue was solved. But certainly it didn't give us a good impression for a start. Another negative side is the wifi. As the room wifi isn't free while reception area is free, everyone come to the reception area. We wanted to use Skype a lot to communicate people, so it wasn't adequate for us.

Repeat visit

We find this Hotel to be exactly as descibed, the location for us is excellent and the staff are as good as anywhere in London, some small issues that did not really impact our stay and are hardly worth mentioning. Having spent more years than I care to rememebr visiting London this Hotel is quite close to the top of the list, overall excellent and we will return.

wifi is an extra in your room but free in public areas.

A really good boutique hotel

The hotel was good value, well located in Mayfair for the west end. The quality was good with an interesting and relaxing interior design. The people were excellent, particularly the cocktail bar and conceirge staff who were attentive and efficient. whilst I have not included some items in 'liked most' I did not use the service. I shall return.
Top tip for other guests:
Relax and enjoy the cocktails.

Strong service orientation

Will definitely stay again. Rooms on the ground floor are quiet enough. Not sure that I would have suggested the particular paper that was hung on the door every morning - perhaps something a little more in keeping with the typical clientele would have suited better - the Times, for instance.
Top tip for other guests:
Do visit the restaurant for breakfast or drinks - good feel and great service...

Just about average
By Rubens from Sao Paulo, Brazil

No early check-in and when they finally produced a room for me it was about half the size of the description on the reservation. I complained and after one hour waiting in the lobby sofa I was presented with my only option: a bigger room, in the end of the building (I mean, as far from the elevator as humanly possible, after several sets of small stairs and fire doors). Since I had prepaid my stay (big mistake) I decided to stay. I was just to tired to look for another hotel and since my week would be full, my plan was to use the hotel just for sleeping. The room was about the size of the reservation, with dated decor and some would say "ugly furniture". The TV faces the wardrobe side and not the bed and the remote control had no batteries on it. The bed was comfortable with nice clean sheets. There is plenty amount of electrical outlets and the bathroom was small but functional. With loose floorboards under the carpet the room produced loud noises specially around the bed so I tried to walk as little as possible to not disturb other guests. Noise is a problem in this and in several hotels in London. With springs on the doors, the banging noise at night is almost unbearable specially near the weekend. With my DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door I was bothered twice (first, room service tried to deliver something I did not ask for and the second time, the cleaning lady actually opened the door and woke me up!). WiFi is paid and expensive justifying a 10 min walk to a telephone store and the acquisition of a 3G hotspot. The final touch of this disappointing stay was on check-in when the receptionist said she could not find, on my reservation the complimentary Club member breakfast.... After a produced a hardcopy of the reservation and a copy of member benefits page on SLH website they finally agreed I was entitled to it. Decent, clean hotel but not luxurious at all.
Top tip for other guests:
Stay for the excellent location but do not expect Luxury in the strict sense of the word.
Hotelier reply:
Thank you for your recent feedback. I am sorry that your stay did not live up to expectations. I understand that you would have liked a room with more contemporary décor and that was a little closer to the public areas of the hotel. I have updated your guest preferences for any future stays. At Flemings we have a selection of room categories and we would be delighted to discuss them with you for any future reservations you may book. Since your stay we have introduced complimentary WiFi in our public areas for all guests. I’m sorry to hear that there was confusion over the room service and the inclusion of breakfast in your booking. I would like to reassure you that your feedback has been passed on to our team to follow up on. I do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Flemings for a return stay. Pleasant stay in Mayfair in London
By Susanna from Turku, Finland

The bar decoration was quite "chaotic" in comparison with the room that was very homy and welcoming. The service was very polite and everybody was very helpful. I happily recommend this hotel for anyone who wants an easy stay in London.
