From the front desk, concierge, drivers and restaurant staff, we were made to feel like vips. I will tell all my friends to stay at the Grand Victoria on their visit to lake Como. The front desk especially became our friends and were so empathetic to our difficult journey from the Varenna cruise port. Every single staff member greets you each time with a warm smile and Buongiorno or Bonasera and it's genuine. The conversations are meaningful about where they are from, their families, etc and they want to know the same from you if you will permit them. The rooms are super high tech comfortable. The Concierges, especially Tomasso go above and beyond to make sure your excursions are 7 star just like the service from the staff. The breakfast is heavenly as well. About the only thing this hotel could improve on is having a lighter lunch menu with more variety and providing more bottled water. The wine list and dinner menu are immaculate.
