This was our second stay at L'Hotel but definitely won't be our last one. Each room is uniquely furnished. This time we stayed in the Oscar Wilde suite, which is furnished with antique furniture and books. The room displays contemporary caricatures of Wilde, newpaper clippings, letters Wilde wrote Read more[SPLIT]Read lesswhilst staying at the hotel and his final unpaid bill. The room also has a huge private terrace. Service and staff at L'Hotel are impeccable, friendly and helpful. The hotel also has its own pool and hamman which guests can reserve. Very nice breakfast, too. The lounge area is decorated with works of art by Cocteau. The bar has photos of many celebrity guests. In short, what more could one ask?

Staff was outstanding - helped with everything including tracking down luggage lost by the airline. Great breakfast, excellent location. I think they checked the room twice a day for any needs.

We only had one night in this hotel. I chose it because of its location and its links with Oscar Wilde. It is 5 minutes walk form the metro for those arriving by metro and is within (beautiful) walking distance of the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. I found it a great location for exploring Paris. Despite it being Pentecost Sunday when many restaurants were closed the concierge found us an excellent bistro to eat. The bedroom was very romantic and airconditioned. It was small but fine for a short stay. The breakfast was a typical french breakfast with plenty of fresh frui, served in a lovely dining room. Again the Reception staff were very helpful when we checked out and arranged a taxi for our transfer to the railway station. In short a lovely hotel with an interesting history in a great location with helpful staff.
