The Pousada de Lisboa was a fantastic base from which to explore Lisbon. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, our room was beautiful and larger than expected for Europe, and the breakfast was delightful. The Pousada Lisboa, discreetly hidden in one corner of the Praça de Comércio, is a jewel. We stayed twice, bookending our two-week trip to Spain. Both times, our room was grand, the service smooth and prompt, and the meals were ample and diverse. Our only discomforts were minor: after closing the bathroom Read more[SPLIT]Read lessdoor, it opens by itself a minute later, the hotel's restaurant is meat focused (not our preference), and Uber's app thinks the hotel is a block away (we managed by guiding the driver verbally). When our travels pass through Lisbon, Pousada Lisboa will be first on our list.

The Pestana Pousada de Lisboa was a great choice for our final days in Portugal. It is a beautiful hotel that contains a lot of striking art work on loan from the museum in Lisbon.
