Arrival by water taxi to such a lovely hotel. A great dinner our first night at the restaurant at the hotel. Use of a smartphone for getting around Venice and the ability to make both local and international calls for free is brilliant. One small suggestion - there should be electrical converters Read more[SPLIT]Read lessin the rooms. When I asked for one I was told I had to give them a 5 euro deposit which I did but they did not refund it to me when I left - I guess because I forgot to remind them. One other small issue - I asked them to post a letter for me and charge the postage to my room - they said they would but I needed to pay the 2 euro since they could not charge it to the room - so of course I paid them the 2 euros. I contrast this to my stay at a SLH in Rome the week before when I asked them to post a letter for me and they gladly did it but would not take the 2 euros and rather did it as a complimentary gesture. Obviously this is not about the euros but rather an example of small things sending a message of true client service!

This hotel is ideally located, being very close to main tourist areas, yet in a quiet location. I ordered flowers and they were really beautiful. All staff was very friendly.
