A stunning 1920’s colonial mansion, The Majestic Malacca stands in the heart of Malacca overlooking the river. Specifically designed to echo the multi-cultural history and culture of the city, this beguiling hotel showcases beautifully crafted Nyonya cuisine, sumptuously appointed rooms and suites, and a novel spa with therapies based on the Peranakan (a blend of Chinese and Malay influences) culture.

The Majestic Malacca reflects a mélange of Eastern and Western cultures. From the original porcelain flooring, intricate artwork, antiques, teakwood fittings and use of beautiful silks, every aspect of the property is a fusion of ancient elements and imprints from around the world. Rooms and suites are in a new building that cleverly mirrors the original architecture.

Cultural delight

Peranakan culture have been presented in a way that we are welcome to experienced it. Tea and kueh are served by staff using traditional utensils. Attention to detail in bed making by placing orchids on it and folding top sheets nicely is a pleasure to the eye.
