Things to do
Shaped like an inverted Y, Lake Como is one of the most exclusive lake resorts in the world. With incredible views and charming lakeside towns, it’s no surprise Italy’s famous faces – not to mention a number of Hollywood stars – keep homes here. Relax in style on the lakeshore or take a private boat out on the water to see and be seen.
Lake Como is home to a number of cultural festivals throughout the year. Celebrate with the locals at the Sagra di San Giovanni in June or watch the Ossuccio festival boat processions and races. There’s also the Palio del Baradello historical re-enactment and traditional rowing races of the Palio Remiero del Lario to enjoy.
Lake Como is renowned for its delicious olive oil, with local brands Lenno and Vanini regarded as some of Italy’s finest. Fish, especially perch, is a regional speciality. Local fisherman bring them to the door and will smoke them in front of you. In Como, you’ll also find a number of trattorias and exclusive restaurants to sample local fine dining.
Book a private boat trip between the key Lake Como towns of Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio to arrive and depart in style.
